Eastlake Business Association is a 200+ members business association that promotes business services, tourism, and economic development throughout the Smith Mountain Lake region. It is also interested in historic preservation and partnerships with other tourism offices and chambers of commerce to effect a positive change throughout the region. Since 2001, Word. has assisted ELBA with marketing, resource development, and special project coordination.  Word. currently serves as the organization's Executive Director.  In 2009 we launched the new "Destination SML" website and advertising campaign.

Word. currently works with the Bedford Area Educational Foundation with website development, local public relations, and special events.  The Foundation awards over $15,000 every year to teachers and their classrooms for educational extracurricular activities.

This documentary by Emmy award-winning director Stu Maddux follows the story of 6 LGBT seniors and their concerns about aging in an apathetic, unfriendly, and even discriminatory healthcare environment.  This documentary makes in Richmond, Virginia premiere on August 29th as part of a long term project in the area to develop programs and services for the aging LGBT community.

As part of an initiative to increase LGBT tourism to the Historic Richmond Region, Word. is working with "Rainbow Over Richmond" business leaders as well as numerous events and attractions for a Fall 2010 targeted ad campaign.

Realty World Properties formed in September 2007 after a merger with EastLake Real Estate. With over 20 award-winning realtors, Realty World Properties has listed and sold nearly $200,000,000 in real estate throughout the greater Smith Mountain Lake region, including Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Bedford. Word. works with the Realty World agents to strategize on unique marketing methods for acquiring listings, lead conversion, and the sale of properties.

Since its merger with Realty World Properties, EastLake Real Estate continues to manage the hospitality division of Mariners Landing Resort Community and Conference Center on Smith Mountain Lake. With 7500 square feet of banquet space, award-winning on site catering, and over 150 condo units for spacious and affordable overnight accommodations, Mariners Landing hosts events up to 250 guests. A new 20,000 square foot executive conference center is on the drawing board for 2008-2009. Since 2002, Word. has assisted ELRE with marketing, public relations, event coordination, and web development.

Couples and Kids is Central Virginia’s most successful non-profit, family-oriented counseling center designed to address the needs of adults and children in our community who struggle with the challenges of daily living. Since 2000, Word. has assisted Couples and Kids with grant writing, image consulting, special event coordination and brochure development.
